SIMON HELBERG (Howard
Wolowitz)
Prior to his work on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Simon Helberg was a regular on the sketch
comedy show MADtv. He has also been featured in several
other critically acclaimed television series including Arrested Development, Reno 911 and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
On the big screen, Helberg has appeared in the
Academy Award®-nominated films A Serious
Man from the Coen Brothers, and Good
Night, and Good Luck. His other
feature film credits include Old School,
For Your Consideration and Judd Apatow's Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Online, he also played the role of "Moist" in
the internet cult sensation Dr.
Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
Helberg attended NYU's Tisch School of the
Arts where he trained at The Atlantic Theater Company. He is an accomplished pianist. Son of actor Sandy Helberg and casting
director Harriet Helberg, he was born and raised in Los Angeles, where he
currently resides with his wife Jocelyn.
His birth date is December 9.
