Ask Tony & Tucker: wind and rain

Posted: Updated:

Our Ask Tony and Tucker questions come from Denise Fatz and her second graders from Lovettsville Elementary.

The class wants to know, "Why does it seem like after a day of hard rain or storms, it gets very windy and it seems to blow for a really long time?"

Desire Macinnes from Hagerstown, Maryland also asks, "In the winter, there seems to be a lot more wind than any other time of year, especially in the summer. Why is there hardly any wind in the summer and definitely no wind advisories? Wind would be much better in the summer!"
