Lemonade stand raises money for pediatric cancer research

ATLANTA -

Local kids and their parents joined in the fight against pediatric cancer on Friday.

The event at Toys R Us on Cobb Parkway is part of Alex's Lemonade Stand.

The non-profit was inspired by Alexandra "Alex" Scott, who was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer.

At the age of four, Alex announced she wanted to operate a lemonade stand to raise money to help find  cures for all pediatric cancer.

Fundraising events always include cups of lemonade.
