Thieves rack up $10,000 with stolen VISA debit card

ATLANTA -

A man and woman are wanted for racking up more than $10,000 in expenditures in two days on a stolen VISA debit card, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Police say someone stole a wallet and cell phone from a man at a bar in Buckhead on Monday. The suspects managed to figure out the PIN for the card and have been using it for purchases in several department stores at Southlake Mall, as well as grocery and convenience stores in the in the Forrest Park and Riverdale areas.

Police say the two suspects made small item purchases at grocery and convenience stores. They then received cash back against the card totaling more than $10,000.00 dollars.

The male suspect is described as a black male in his late 20's, clean shaven and wearing a red T-shirt, tan cargo shorts and a ball cap with an " A" on it.

The second suspect is a white female in her middle to late 20's, wearing a striped shirt, dark colored pants and is shown in surveillance video as wearing her hair pulled back into a ponytail. Most of her purchases were mostly female and infant clothing.

They were seen on video arriving at a Kroger Grocery store on Moreland Avenue in Atlanta in a gray or silver small car with a sunroof.
