NORCROSS, Ga. -

Investigators are searching for answers after an apparent deadly home invasion.

A spokesperson for the Gwinnett County Police Department tells FOX 5 News that it happened around 5:15 a.m. Monday in the 900 block of Falling Water Lane near Norcross.

They say officers were called to the scene after a roommate found the body of 27-year-old Bryan Ritzert dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The roommate said he heard the commotion earlier in the morning, but did not find the scene until later.

Police say they found shell casing and signs of forced entry into the home.

They say robbery may have been a motive for the shooting, but haven't ruled out other motives.

Anyone with further information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-557-TIPS.
