Domestic violence is a secret in households across the country, and sometimes it can have deadly consequences.  A local organization is working to help Georgians break the silence.

Looking back at photos, Angeletha Mintah says her family looked normal and happy, but their smiles held a dark secret.  She shared the story of how she and her children were victims of domestic violence with FOX 5.

An estimated one in four women are victims of domestic violence, and Georgia ranks 10th in the nation in the number of women killed by men as a result.

The notion of 'Keeping up with the Jones' is not new, but there is a new pressure coming at you. Peer pressure - whether you're 13 or 33 - is a powerful thing. Now throw in social media and you have what an Atlanta counselor calls 'Keeping up with the Jones' on steroids. And if you're not careful that can get costly.
