WASHINGTON, DC -

A new article in the Washington Times details how D.C. Police Chief, Cathy Lanier, and other law enforcement agencies helped supply a Democrat senator assault weapons for a news conference promoting a ban on the firearms.

The problem is when Republicans asked for help getting guns to make their point they got a big no.

It was earlier this year when Senator Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat from California helped re-introduce an assault weapons ban.

It turns out D.C. Police managed to get her some of those guns to use as props.

But her opponents in the Senate didn't get the same help.
