Woman dies after being shot in Cobb Co. road rage incident

KENNESAW, Ga. -

Police in Cobb County say a woman has died after being shot overnight during a road rage incident off of Wade Green Road in Kennesaw.  They say two female drivers got into an altercation along Shiloh Road, and that led to a shooting in the parking lot at a nearby apartment complex.

Investigators say the incident started at about 2 a.m., and soon moved to the parking lot of the Shiloh Green Apartments, which is a gated complex.  Authorities aren't sure how the two drivers got inside.

At some point, police say the argument turned physical, and a gun was pulled and 22-year-old Kim Kilgore was shot. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.  They say they believe the women were involved in a road rage incident, but it's possible they may have known each other.

Investigators say they are looking for a black Ford Mustang, and/or a silver Chevrolet Cavalier in connection to the incident. They say it's possible other people were involved.

Kilgore was a student at Kennesaw State University, where she had been a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, FOX 5 has been told.
