ATLANTA -

The state's tollway authority announced on Friday that they will end the collecting tolls on Georgia Highway 400 on November 22.

The State Road and Tollway Authority says the final toll will be collected sometime after rush hour traffic that Friday evening dies down.

They remind drivers to use caution in the area of the toll booths as they continue to take down the infrastructure.

The Georgia Department of Transportation says getting rid of the tolls will add about 11,000 vehicles on the roadway every day.

It was originally announced back in March that the 50-cent toll would end a day earlier.

SRTA reminds drivers that their Peach Passes are still can be used for the HOT lanes.

A four-mile road race celebrating the 20th anniversary is planned for November 17th as part of the Georgia State Games.
