Authorities took one person into custody after a stabbing at Clarkston High School on Wednesday. Witnesses told FOX 5 that one student stabbed another student in the face with scissors in biology class.

DeKalb County police confirmed there was a stabbing, but did not give any other details.

Witnesses told FOX 5's Chris Shaw that the argument was over a cell phone, culminating in the stabbing at the end of the school day. One witness said the suspect tried to stab the victim more, but other students stepped in and stopped him.

The stabbing victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Students said that they had a substitute teacher in that class.

The high school is located on N. Indian Creek in Clarkston, Ga.
