Community seeks clues in fatal home invasion

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -

A community wants answers in the death of a 43-year-old woman who was shot in her south Fulton County home.

Pam Williams was killed in her home in the Amhurst subdivision on Sunday. Authorities said that in less than four minutes, the perpetrator broke in Williams' home, found her hiding in a closet and fatally shot her.

Police have not made any arrests in the crime and said they have little information to go on.

Community leaders canvassed the neighborhood on Thursday in hopes of finding a lead in the murder. Several neighbors reported seeing a group running from the area of the home.

Residents said that the neighborhood has seen a sharp increase in burglaries recently -- 18 burglaries in the last two months. A community meeting with police that had been scheduled before Williams' murder was held on Wednesday.

Police said they are aggressively searching for Williams' killer. Fulton County police have offered at $15,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.  Anyone with tips is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 404-577-8477.
