• General Planting and Cold Weather Tips

o In Georgia you can plant year-round

o Planting now gives the roots time to establish all spring before the summer heats arrives

o Now is a great time to refresh your landscape with mulch. Apply 2-3 inch layer.

o Water, water, water: you should water containers before a hard freeze and after the freeze. The added moisture will allow the plants to tolerate the cold and bounce back to life.

o Don't worry if you're plants are droopy the day after a deep freeze. Give them time and they will usually spring back to life.
