ATLANTA -

Around 6 a.m. on Monday, a group of Buckhead "residents" gathered to protest Bieber moving into the Buckhead neighborhood.

A group calling itself the Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition organized residents for a protest near the corner of Blackland and Roswell roads. While less than 600 people had joined the group on Sunday evening, over 1,000 people have been invited or RSVPed on their Facebook event page.

The event states that "Justin Bieber's relocation to Atlanta can be nothing but bad for our children, as well as the community."

However, during a local Cumulus radio morning show -- hosts revealed they were behind the protest and that the entire event was a hoax. According to the hosts of the show, interns using assumed names conducted interviews with members of local media outlets and national media outlets, like CNN, BBC and TMZ.

According to the hosts, The Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition was a group created for the purpose of enacting the hoax. About 4500 national and international articles were generated as a result of the "protest."
