School bus driver saves family

Posted: Updated:

A Bartow County bus driver is being hailed as a hero after she noticed a spark coming from a house on her morning route. Brandi Holcomb told FOX 5 she knew something wasn't right, so she jumped into action.

Holcomb began yelling and honking her horn, trying to alert people in the house on Homestead Drive in Acworth.

Randy Roberts said he and his wife were asleep inside the home. Roberts woke up when he heard Holcomb and went outside. He was able to disconnect the wire that was causing the spark.

Roberts said he's lucky the house didn't catch on fire. He thanked God, and the bus driver. Holcomb said she feels she just did what anyone else would have done in that situation.
