ATLANTA (AP) - Law enforcement agencies held a terrorism response drill at Atlanta's Lenox Square Mall on Sunday evening.

The exercise is meant to simulate a complex terrorist attack in a public place.

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security partnered with Atlanta police and representatives from state and local law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services for the drill.

J. Britt Johnson, who heads the FBI's Atlanta field office, says the exercise highlighted the importance of readiness and partnerships between law enforcement agencies and first responders.

There was a large law enforcement presence at the mall during the drill.
